CareerSource workshops scheduled at Kendale Lakes Branch Library

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Juan C. Zapata is encouraging residents to take advantage of employment workshops now being offered by the Miami-Dade County Library System.

CareerSource workshops are being conducted on Mondays and Thursdays from noon to 6 p.m. and on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Kendale Lakes Branch Library, 15205 SW 88 St. The library also is offering workshops on employability the first and third Monday of each month at 1 p.m. These will take place on Nov. 2 and 16 and Dec. 7 and 21. CareerSource offers on-site employment services and training referrals.

CareerSource provides employment services to job seekers that include referrals to employment, pre-employment screening, career counseling, assistance with job search and placement, assistance with reemployment assistance claim filing information, labor market information (demand occupations, skill requirements and earnings), referrals to the career centers for additional services (case management or training) and employability workshops that include resume writing, basic computer classes, using Employ Florida Marketplace (EFM), and professional placement network.
