Dadeland Mall will celebrate Lunar New Year — The Year of the Pig — with a themed celebration throughout February.
Shoppers can immerse themselves in festive Lunar New Year decor, family-friendly entertainment including lion dancers, calligraphy, in-store promotions, a Red Envelope Gift Card with Purchase promotion, and more.
“We welcome the community to ring in the Lunar New Year this month with an array of free activities at the mall,” said Lourdes M. Rodriguez, Dadeland Mall’s director of Marketing and Business Development. “We look forward to celebrating the diverse Asian culture here in Miami with our guests.”
Dadeland Mall transformed on Jan. 22 with Red Lantern décor, the illuminating symbol of the season, in hues of red and gold. Traditional Chinese wishing trees can be found throughout the mall where guests can select a red envelope featuring a special offer from one of the stores. At Simon Guest Services, shoppers will be treated to chocolate coins and other Chinese New Year treats, along with a Lunar New Year offer and event flyer.
Dadeland Mall patrons can experience a visual history of China through the Chinese fashion exhibition, featuring six curated wardrobes from significant periods in China. In conjunction with Macy’s, these outfits will be exhibited throughout the mall, and each display will communicate the history of the outfit to shoppers. All pieces have been kindly loaned to Dadeland Mall by the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Miami (TECO).

The Red Envelope Gift Card with Purchase promotion will take place from Feb. 5-12 (or while supplies last). When shoppers spend $300 at Dadeland Mall and present same-day receipts at Simon Guest Services, they will receive a red envelope with either a Calvin Klein Gift Card or a Simon GiftCard valued at $10, $50, or $100!
