Jarden Consumer Solutions (JCS) recently announced that its employee-funded JCS Community Fund donated $110,000 to six South Florida charities in the fourth quarter of 2015.

The fund is committed to providing essential services and opportunities to at-risk youth, women and families in communities where JCS employees live and work, and has donated more than $6 million across the country since its creation in 2004.

“Through the JCS Community Fund, our employees are able to give back to the communities where they work and live,” said Rocki Rockingham, administrator, JCS Community Fund. “Over the years, their contributions have helped strengthen those communities and made a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most.”

Among those receiving JCS Community Fund funding is Homestead-based MUJER Inc. The organization received $10,000 to support its Emergency Assistance Program, a program that assists low-income families in South Miami-Dade County with emergency needs of food and shelter.
