Riviera Prep shows its love for special needs students

The students at Riviera Preparatory School held a special Valentine’s Day party for the Carrie Brazer Center for Autism on Friday, Feb. 14, at the Prep Campus.

Riviera Prep infuses Service Learning into its rigorous and diverse curriculum; this event was designated as a school wide day of service. More than 100 of Riviera’s middle and high school students initiated and planned the events. The festivities included a musical performance, art projects, and sports related activities during which students from both schools formed new friendships and new understandings.

The Carrie Brazer Center for Autism has served children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other social and communicative disabilities, from pre-school to adulthood, since 1999. The center provides a full day, 12-month program for students.
