Simon, a global leader in premier shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations recently announced it is joining with Concord Hospitality Enterprises on the development of an AC Hotel by Marriott at Dadeland Mall.
The AC Hotel by Marriott at Dadeland Mall will be a 177-room facility with seven levels and will include a second floor outdoor pool and lounge. Hotel guests and visitors also will have convenient access to a new 273-space parking deck adjacent to the hotel. Construction was slated to begin in July with a late 2020 opening. This is the third location for the AC Hotel by Marriott brand at a Simon center.
“The synergy created by connecting this iconic shopping center and innovative hotel brand is yet another example of how we continue to differentiate Simon properties for our consumers,” said Patrick Peterman, Simon’s senior vice president of Development and Asset Intensification.
“We are excited that we have been able to partner with Simon to bring the AC brand to Dadeland Mall,” said Nick Kellock, Concord’s chief operating officer. “We have enjoyed great success with this growing lifestyle brand in other destinations, and I know that it will be very well received by visitors to Dadeland.”
