“There is nothing more powerful than the moment a shelter pet meets their new family and that’s the heart of this incredible statewide event,” said Susanne Kogut, president of Petco Love. “By uniting animal welfare organizations across Florida, we’re not only finding homes for pets, we’re creating thousands of new beginnings filled with hope, healing, and unconditional love. That’s the power of community, and that’s the power of love.”

“In Miami-Dade County, we continue to see more pets entering our shelter than leaving, which makes large-scale adoption events like this one so important,” said Annette Jose, director of Miami-Dade County Animal Services. “We’re proud to be part of a statewide effort that brings attention to our shelter pets and gives them the best chance at a second chance. We hope our community will show up to adopt, support, and help us save lives.”
