The Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department, in partnership with the Miami-Dade Public Library System, has announced the launch of the fourth annual “Presents for Pets” holiday donation drive.

Now through Dec. 31, the community is invited to spread holiday cheer by picking up a gift for the cherished shelter pets during their holiday shopping.

As the festive season approaches, shelter pets eagerly are awaiting the joy that comes with treats, toys, cozy blankets, and pet beds. Your generous donations not only will bring smiles to their furry faces but also significantly enhance their quality of life while they wait for their forever homes.

“As you embark on your holiday shopping this season, we encourage you to consider adding a small gift for a shelter pet to your list,” said Annette Jose, director of Miami-Dade County Animal Services. “These thoughtful donations bring warmth, comfort, and a sense of hope to our shelter pets, reminding them that love is just around the corner.”

Join in making this holiday season truly special for the animals in the center’s care. Your contributions will help create a more joyful environment for shelter pets and show them that they are valued members of our community.

Donation bins will be available at the Animal Services Pet Adoption and Protection Center at 3599 NW 79 Ave. in Doral and at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center at 111 NW First St. in Miami.
