Arbetter Hot Dogs Hall of Fame Celebration, Nov. 11

The iconic Arbetter Hot Dogs is holding its highly anticipated Hall of Fame event Nov. 11 at the restaurant.

Media from across the world will be covering the event, which is taking place at the popular destination, at 8747 SW 40 St. The event will start at 11 a.m. and run until 2:30pm

The inductees will include Brother Kevin Handibode; former University of Miami football legend and Green Bay Packer, and current general manager of the Miami Hurricanes Football Team Alonso Highsmith; the Sheehy Family; Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Dexter Lehtinen; John Lynsky and Family; Brother Felix Elardo; Brother Stephen Kappes the Maguire, Evans and Golik families; Sandy Liebowitz from L&M Trophies; Renee and Roxanne Pasquarella of Frankie’s Pizza; Jimmy Piedrahita of Mojos; the Tito Gomez Family; the Raul Martinez Jr. Family; the Jeff Garcia Family; Coach Jim Husk; our friends at Burger Beast; the Lasky/Desmond Families; Ed Velasco, who holds the Arbetter’s Record for Most Hot Dogs Eaten, and more!

The emcee will be the legendary Dr. Carter Burrus
Dave Arbetter will be on hand to pass out free cigars and free cake. The Arbetter Band and DJ Just Patty also will thrill the crowd with great tunes during the celebration.

Wear a Columbus logo shirt or hat and get a free fountain Coke or water.

  1. My grandparents used to take me to Arbetter’s as a kid. I’m 55 now, and still loving those chili cheese fries and dawgs, only I can’t do it as often as I’d like. I carry on the tradition with my son now, who’s going on 23!
    Arbetter’s takes me back home in a sense.

  2. My husband and I ate at arbetter’s 57 yrs ago when it was on Sw 8 th street. At least 2 x’s a week and talked with Dave’s father constantly. He was some character!
