Archdiocese Champions Challenge unites 200 Catholic young adults

An annual field day competition among young adults sponsored by the Archdiocese of Miami kicked off this year with an inspirational opening ceremony featuring a Color Corp presentation by the Father Andrew Brown Assembly #193 of the Knights of Columbus. The event took place on July 21 at Tropical Park in Miami.

The Knights dressed in full regalia presented the colors and lead participants in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the National Anthem. The Knights also participated in the opening prayer to start the day’s activities with a patriotic and inspirational moment.

Among the event organizers were Asis Lopez and Rafael G. Egües, two members of Knights of Columbus Coral Gables Council #3274.

Nearly 200 Young Adults from throughout the Archdiocese of Miami participated in the Young Adults Championship Challenge. Teams of young adults participated in a series of fun field games with additional young adults serving as moderators, judges, and event facilitators. The teams were organized in groups of eight (four men and four women) plus team captains. This challenge provides young adults in the community with a special day of fun, games, and camaraderie. The program is hosted by the Office of Young Adult Ministry at the Archdiocese of Miami.
