Every year, the top 100 healthiest workplaces in America are chosen among thousands of applicants. These workplaces have to complete an assessment and are then scored and ranked by a national, non-biased group of professionals in the academic, medical, and business fields. The assessment is divided into six categories: Culture and Leadership Commitment, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communications and Marketing, Programming and Interventions, and Reporting and Analytics. In addition to the assessment, applicants must also submit an essay and answer additional questions about chronic illnesses and workplace health in order to qualify for the national award.
This year, Bean Automotive Group ranked number 13 out of the top 100 Healthiest Employers, making this the highest ranking they’ve ever received since participating in the Healthiest Employers awards 6 years ago.
Since implementing the Tune-Up Your Health initiative, Bean Automotive Group has taken a hands-on approach to health and wellness by offering associates a variety of programs and options for them to choose from and participate in. Health fairs are offered multiple times a year on-location for associates to get a check up and help reduce their health insurance premiums. In addition to check ups, associates can also get a massage, fitness tips, and a healthy meal while attending the health fairs. Associates also have the amazing opportunity to take free fitness classes at their workplace, making it easier for them to achieve their fitness goals without the hassle of going to a gym after work.
Employee health and wellness is a top priority for Bean Automotive Group, and will continue to be a focus into 2024. With the success of a new, comprehensive weight loss challenge in late 2023, more planned health fairs and workshops, and the planned participation of multiple 5k races, the future is looking bright for Bean Automotive Group’s health journey.
