For the fifth year in a row, Bean Automotive Group has been named one of the healthiest employers in South Florida by the South Florida Business Journal, ranking first place among businesses with 500-1,499 employees.
It’s no secret Bean Automotive Group cares about their associates’ well-being. With the introduction of the Tune-Up Your Health wellness program a few years ago, associates have been taking steps to improve their overall well-being with the new tools offered. Quarterly health screenings, wellness challenges, nutrition seminars, mental health workshops, and exercise classes are just a few of the options associates have with the wellness program.
The Tune-Up Your Health program doesn’t only cover physical and mental health, it also includes financial and work/life balance resources. Debt is one of the biggest stress factors in the US, and stress can cause physical ailments including migraines, back pain, stroke, and more. The Tune-Up Your Wealth initiative is the finance sector of the wellness program, providing important financial resources and counseling for associates who would like to manage their finances and lower their debt. In addition, Bean Automotive Group offers associates the opportunity to lower their insurance premiums by completing an annual physical and participating in an on-site biometric screening along with a secondary preventative screening they can complete on-site as well. This makes it as convenient as possible to complete these tasks for a lower rate.

Making sure your associates are happy is one of the most important aspects of running a business, and Bean Automotive Group believes it’s important associates take time to relax and refresh their minds. Through the Tune-Up Your Health program, associates can disconnect and relax with an on-site chair massage, meditation and vision board session, and employer-sponsored volunteer program. The volunteer program encourages associates to volunteer at a non-profit organization of their choice and get paid for the day while doing it.
To become one of South Florida’s healthiest employers, companies must go through a nomination period and will be placed in categories based on the number of employees. From there, companies will compete against others of a similar size and will be judged based on an online assessment and the weighted value of the answers. From there, the total number of applicants will be narrowed down to just 24 companies, with the top 4-5 companies representing each category.
