Breakthrough Miami recently announced the addition of a grants writer, Baldwin Davis. He will support grant identification, development, onboarding, oversight, and reporting for corporate, foundation, and government agency grants in this new role.

Davis brings over three decades of non-profit experience, including social work, operations, compliance, and grant management, including nearly nine years at Miami Bridge where he served as Chief Administrator Officer. He also served nearly six years at Covenant House where he managed services and operations as Residential Overnight Coordinator.

In recent years, Davis leveraged his knowledge and experience in compliance and operations to become more involved in grants development, oversight and compliance.

In addition to his expertise in non-profits, Davis has led various business ventures, including his own successful entertainment promotion and management company, Optimum Productions UK Ltd. The depth of his work and direct experiences spans the Caribbean, United Kingdom, and the USA. Davis holds a Certificate in Higher Education and a postgraduate and master’s degree from London’s Southbank University.

He is a member of the Charted Institute of Administrative Management (UK) and the globally acclaimed International Professional Managers Association – HR (IPMA-HR). Davis also ran his own exclusive consultancy and provides pro bono, paid, and volunteer work to both private businesses and non-profit entities across several states and countries.

Additionally, he is a Team Leader for the acclaimed human services accreditation body, Council on Accreditation, COA (now merged and called Social Current).
