A new Chick-fil-A restaurant was scheduled to open for business in West Kendall on Thursday, June 10.
Chick-fil-A Inc. has selected Justin Lindsey as the independent franchised owner/operator of Chick-fil-A Kendall. Lindsey will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 200 full- and part-time team members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests.
The new Chick-fil-A Kendall is located at 12100 SW 88 St. (N. Kendall Drive), near the interchange with Florida’s Turnpike, and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
At Chick-fil-A, safe service is a top priority. To ensure social distancing and limit contact between team members and guests, Chick-fil-A Kendall is open for drive-thru and carry-out service. Guests can take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the free Chick-fil-A mobile app or through online ordering. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100 Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Kendall is surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Miami with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A is donating $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Miami area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally owned and operated
Chick-fil-A Kendall is locally owned and operated by Justin Lindsey. A Florida native, Lindsey has fond memories of enjoying Chick-fil-A with his family at Oaks Mall in Gainesville. Inspired by the restaurant’s welcoming environment, Lindsey applied to become a team member at Chick-fil-A Oaks Mall and was mentored by the restaurant’s operator, preparing him to apply to open his own Chick-fil-A restaurant.
With a passion for entrepreneurship, Lindsey started several business ventures as a student at the University of Florida. During this time, he developed valuable business and leadership skills that contributed to his success as the franchised Operator of Chick-fil-A Dadeland Mall in Miami. After serving the Miami community for 10 years, Lindsey is excited to open his new restaurant and continue building relationships with team members and guests as the operator of Chick-fil-A Kendall.
“Alongside my family, I am thrilled to continue serving the Miami community through our new restaurant, Chick-fil-A Kendall,” Lindsey said. “We look forward to serving great-tasting food and creating a positive, welcoming environment for all of our guests.”
