Holiday dazzle is back with the return of Christmas Wonderland at Tropical Park (https://miamiwonderland.com), Miami’s extraordinary seasonal extravaganza that debuted last year to rave reviews.
Filled with memorable family-focused festivities, guests will experience a captivating fusion of cherished holiday traditions, cultural delights, as well as innovative elements and only-in-Miami-Dade County moments. Exhilarating carnival rides, thrilling games, spectacular lighting, thrilling live shows, and Miami’s best food trucks also await.
The 2024 Holiday season begins on Thursday, Nov. 14, and will run through Jan. 5.
“When we opened Christmas Wonderland at Tropical Park last year, the overwhelming response it received was humbling and we look forward to welcoming our community for an unforgettable 2024 Holiday season,” said Tony Albelo, president, Loud And Live. “All of the holiday magic that thrilled our guests, the innovative holiday moments and festive memory-making experiences will be returning, plus some new and exciting elements to ensure that the mix of traditional, cutting edge and culturally relevant experiences make every visit a special one.”
Upon arrival, guests will venture through The Wonder Portal, a captivating LED arch, that will transport them into Christmas Wonderland’s centerpiece: Tinsel Trail, a half mile of holiday displays, light shows, and immersive photo opportunities and experiences. Guests will encounter six unique worlds as they walk through the park, each with its own theme, sights, sounds, and activities. They are:
Holidade, Presented by Estrella Insurance, is a celebration of Miami-Dade County’s diversity, people, culture, and neighborhoods with more than a dozen Instagram worthy spots with exhibits by award-winning designer and creator of the Museum of Ice Cream, Moyano Productions. Whether it’s the Gingerbread Lifeguard Stand (an homage to Miami Beach) or the inner workings of the Toy Factoria (an ode to Hialeah), you’ll sure recognize your favorite neighborhood.
Town Square is a throwback to holiday classics with Tony’s Tree Farm, a classic Christmas truck and the hometown feel of Main Street.
Sweet Street, the popular board game comes to life through a whimsical explosion of color, candy, cookies, and sweets. Great photo opps with life-size candy canes or inside Lovers Lane – this world is made to satisfy your sweet tooth. The food and beverage selection will round out the entire experience.
Toy Town, Presented by Amanda Demanda, is where everyone gets to be a kid again with the Elf Brigade and larger-than-life toys. Children can enjoy kid-sized rides, including the Kids Wheel, and send Letters to Santa.
Arctic Delight. Enter through a wall of snow and enjoy the sensation of winter. Adults can visit Nelson’s Nightcap Bar for a refreshing beverage as the family explores even more displays and activities.
Santa’s Village. Check out the reindeer at the stables, see what the elves are up to, and make sure to visit the “Big Guy” and grab a commemorative Santa photo — a must!
Once an hour, the entire Trail goes dark and syncs up for an incredible light show encompassing all six worlds. Light Up the Night is a spectacular combination of lights and music that fills the entire park uniting all visitors through one simultaneous shared experience.
The action continues at Christmas Wonderland’s Magnificent Midway — a collection of the country’s top carnival rides and games. Featuring over 50 carnival rides, including three roller coasters and the largest traveling Ferris wheel in North America, the iconic “Eye in the Sky,” which towers at over 150 feet and allows guests to see for miles at this Christmas Wonderland exclusive. From speed-fearing to thrill-seeking. Completing the midway experience, a plethora of delicious carnival food, an array of the best local food trucks and vendors.
Nestled within the Magnificent Midway is an exclusive Miami experience, the IG’loo 360-Dome. The 3D-mapped immersive adventure will surround you with sights and sounds for the ride of your life.
Coming back this year each Tuesday and Thursday, is “Home for the Holidays” the heart-warming pet adoption collaboration with Miami-Dade Animal Services, which last year placed 16 dogs with loving new families.
