Terrazul is a new student housing development for Florida International University.

Coastal Construction Group, one of the largest general contractors in the Southeast, has announced the Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) approval for Terrazul, a new student housing development for Florida International University.

The student residences are located across from the FIU campus at 700 SW 107 Ave. in the University City district. The student housing complex features 22 floors and 932 units, along with 20,000 square feet of amenity space, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor pool and sunset deck, sky lounge, conference room, ample study spaces, club room, game room, barbecue grills, running track pathway, dog park/walk, and more.

“The completion of Terrazul is a significant milestone for the entire project team. It is a great addition to the ever-evolving FIU campus,” said Tom Murphy Jr., chair and CEO of Coastal Construction Group. “This is not the first project we have built for FIU’s students, and we are happy to continue our strong partnership with the university.”

The Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) for FIU’s Terrazul Student Residences was achieved on May 24. The project was designed by Niles Bolton Associates with Coastal Construction Group serving as the general contractor. The developers are Adam America Real Estate and JW Capital Management.
