Christopher Columbus High School has announced that seven seniors have qualified as semifinalists in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships which high school students enter by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). Of the 1.6 million entrants into the competition, approximately 16,000 of the highest scoring students qualify as semifinalists.
