Columbus HS senior Martin Seals elected governor of Boys State

Christopher Columbus High School senior Martin Seals participated in the American Legions’ Boys State, Florida’s premier youth leadership program which takes place annually at Florida State University with 500 of the state’s most successful boys.

During the seven-day immersive experience, the participants created a mock state replica of Florida from the ground up, forming city, county and state legislatures. Seals had the honor of being elected governor, the highest elected office at Boys State

Seals is a very active student at Columbus. He is a varsity debater, president of the Junior Castaways Against Cancer, and serves on the board of the HIP Program which empowers teens to lead healthy lifestyles. He is also a member of the Patriot Club, Student Activities Committee, Model UN and serves as a student ambassador for school and alumni events.
