Dariel Fernandez inaugurates Kendall Tax Collector’s Office
Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez is joined by members of the community for the opening of the new Kendall Tax Collector Branch.

Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez recently unveiled the new Kendall Tax Collector Branch during a well-attended ribbon-cutting ceremony that brought together elected officials, community leaders, and local residents.

The event celebrated the opening of the county’s sixth full-service office, located at 11735 SW 147 Ave., Suite #20, in the heart of West Kendall.

“This is more than just a new office — it’s a promise fulfilled,” Fernandez said. “We are transforming what public service looks like by bringing accessible, efficient, and respectful government directly to the people.”

The Kendall location now offers a full range of services including driver license issuance, ID cards, property tax payments, vehicle registration renewals, and business tax receipts. Designed with modern upgrades and expanded staffing, the branch aims to reduce wait times and improve the customer experience for residents in the western region of the county.

The ceremony drew attendance from numerous dignitaries and public officials who praised the Tax Collector’s efforts to expand service capacity and restore public trust. Many speakers highlighted the importance of responsive and community-centered government, especially in underserved areas.

“This location was once known for long lines and frustration,” Fernandez said. “Those days are over. Today, we serve with integrity, honesty, and dignity; this office in Kendall will provide all services available at the Tax Collector’s Office under the same roof.”

The opening of the Kendall office reflects Fernandez’s broader mission to modernize the Office of the Tax Collector, eliminate barriers to access, and deliver meaningful improvements to the daily lives of Miami-Dade residents.
