David Ensignia Tennis Academy gave its young players an unforgettable glimpse into the pro tennis world at the Miami Open in March.
The special trip, part of the academy’s after school and holiday tennis camp program, gave kids and teens a chance to see what life is like at the top of the sport.
From the excitement of watching live matches to seeing professional players up close during practice, the group of kids and teens got an inside look at how the pros warm up, train, and fine-tune their skills. They even had the chance to meet some of the game’s biggest stars including Daniil Medvedev, currently ranked No. 8 in the world.
“We wanted to show our players what it really takes to chase their tennis dreams,” said David Ensignia Jr., one of the owners of the academy. “But we also want them to see that tennis is fun and exciting. It’s not all hard work —e specially when you’re a fan.”
Founded in 1990, David Ensignia Tennis Academy offers state-of-the-art tennis instruction tailored for players at all levels of skill. The academy takes pride in fostering the future stars of tennis and serving the community through comprehensive tennis programs. With facilities at four locations in south Miami-Dade County, the academy remains a hub for tennis excellence, recognized by both USTA and the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
