A revitalized urban hotspot, Downtown Dadeland has welcomed the launch of BurgerQ’s Southern-style casual dining establishment which opened its doors on Mar. 17.
With its retro-upscale decor and modern approach to customer service, the restaurant will offer patrons the energy and spirit of a traditional burger joint with Southern barbecue-inspired dishes, including: grilled-to-order natural burgers, fresh salads and sides, and handmade signature shakes.
“BurgerQ is committed to offering guests a prime dining experience without paying the usual top dollar,” said Maria Teresa Ortiz de Arguello, CEO of BurgerQ. “We feel that Downtown Dadeland is inline with these ideals, making it the perfect area for our first location.”
In addition to its Southern-inspired cuisine, BurgerQ will feature an interactive, self-serve craft beer wall that allows guests to sample a variety of 16 local artisanal beers simply by scanning their receipt. The restaurant also will offer a unique selection of wines and specialty beverages.
BurgerQ is the latest addition to Downtown Dadeland’s roster of retailers that have been facilitated by DHPI, a joint venture between Duncan Hillsley Capital and PEBB Capital, since 2014.
“BurgerQ is an innovative concept that is really going to amp up Downtown Dadeland and its continued revitalization,” said Shane Hillsley, managing director of Duncan Hillsley Capital. “I think that our visitors are going to be excited to learn about the self-serve beer wall and wide variety of locally sourced food options.”
Rafael Romero, CCIM and Steven Henenfeld of Continental Real Estate Companies (CREC) are the leasing representatives for the landlord at Downtown Dadeland.
“The revitalization plan at Downtown Dadeland is really helping to shape the lifestyle center into the go-to culinary destination for South Miami and the surrounding areas,” said Rafael Romero, CCIM, associate vice president of CREC. “BurgerQ brings a lot to the table in terms of unique offerings, and I’m confident that it’s going to help us continue to bring our vision for Downtown Dadeland to life.”
Downtown Dadeland is in the process of adding a number of new retailers to its 127,635 square feet of retail space with the most recent additions including: Orangetheory Fitness, Barley an American Brasserie, and Nanndi Frozen Cream & Pastry Shop.
With these recent additions, Downtown Dadeland has created a vibrant culinary and lifestyle destination serving Kendall, Pinecrest, Coral Gables and South Miami.
