According to Rick Orasi, chief executive merchant, the new Kendall Floor and Décor store will open in late spring, with a grand opening tentatively scheduled for June 20. The store in currently under construction at SW 120th Avenue and Kendall Drive (just west of Florida’s Turnpike).
Floor & Decor is a leading specialty retailer of hard surface flooring, offering the broadest in-stock selection of tile, wood, stone, related tools and flooring accessories at very competitive prices. The company was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Atlanta.
“We source our stone, tile and wood directly from manufacturers or quarries worldwide,” Orasi said. “As a result, we can offer top quality products priced well below those of our competitors. In addition, Floor and Décor offers interest-free credit for up to 24 months for approved customers, free design service and a price-matching guarantee.”
Floor and Décor offers everything a homeowner or contractor needs to design and install a high-quality flooring project, kitchen backsplash or bathroom wall. Those preferring natural wood can select from solid hardwoods such as oak, acacia, hickory, birch, maple, cherry, teak and walnut. Bamboo and cork are also available, as are laminate and vinyl selections.
Additionally, Floor and Décor offers wood countertops, wall paneling, stair parts and moldings. Installation materials include grout, caulk, mortars and thinsets, metal trims and sealers/cleaners.
“Whether you’re a homeowner or professional contractor, you will find the largest in-stock selection of tile, stone and wood, job lot quantities and a dedicated sales manager to help get what you need quickly,” Orasi said.
Floor and Décor also offers free 14-day storage of purchased materials if the job site isn’t quite ready, and delivery services for when it is. Every Saturday Floor and Décor stores offer free Do-It-Yourself classes to help customers plan, design and install their projects.
“I couldn’t be happier that Floor and Décor is coming to Miami,” said Orasi, who was raised in Pinecrest and spent 20 years as vice president of a major home supplies retailer. “Our stores are the industry leaders in every market, and we’re planning to quadruple our presence in the next few years.”
