2017 Ford Escape

When you are out looking for a crossover, it is hard to find the best among all of the various choices. Thankfully, Ford makes it easy for you.

The 2017 Ford Escape is a smart and safe option and ranks as one of the best crossovers of the year. It has been supplied with big upgrades to its power, storage, and driver’s tech interface.

The Escape now has optional all-wheel drive with a handy power liftgate that is completely hands free. It also comes with an upgraded fuel economy that will keep the car sailing steady.

There are several cuts for the Escape. You can outfit it in the SE trim, which is casual but elegant, or the Titanium model, which is luxurious and sleek. Thankfully, no matter the trim, the confidence the car exudes is the same.

Along with the upgrades, many features from the previous model made it back on the new model. Among these features are automatic climate control, which is used to lower the trim levels, and the lever-operated parking brake, which is actually now upgraded and replaced by a button, which means you have more space for small items.

Finally, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integrations are fully compatible with the Escape. Apart from those upgrades, there is a new standard 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that accompanies the optional 2.0-liter turbo-four. The crossover is fully equipped to handle any situation.

Oftentimes when we hear of a new car, we want to know what has changed from its previous version. The 2017 Escape has a revised exterior, which boasts significant, but minor interior improvements, a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 2.0-liter engine that has a bit more power.

Safety is very important to a car owner, and Ford has made sure to step up the ante with this year’s Escape model. The 2017 Ford Escape includes lane departure prevention, drowsy driver warning system, and adaptive cruise control with forward collision alert.

The trim I received was the Escape SE with the optional 2.0-liter engine which gives a good kick to the acceleration. This trim runs for a bit over $31,000 — which is really affordable for everything it brings. I hate when cars come with unnecessary features and this car only comes with what is necessary and good.

The car, you may now be asking, comes in exactly three trim levels. The two I mentioned before are the most popular, but we also have the S model, which is fairly bare, but comes with essential features: a rearview camera, Bluetooth, Sync 3 tech interface and smartphone integration.

The new engine starts with the SE, which also has nicer wheels, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. The Titanium trim adds the luster of luxury to the car with its leather upholstery, ambient cabin lighting, and hands-free power liftgate. Every trim of the car, nonetheless, is worth the cost.

On the gas mileage front, the Escape offers 23 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway.

I’ve driven many cars throughout my years, and no crossover compares to the 2017 Ford Escape. It is a humble car with a lot of power and a lot of promise for anyone looking for a crossover.
