Kevin Perez

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) recently welcomed Kevin Perez, a former resident of Kendall, as media producer in the Public Affairs Division.

Perez, who graduated from Miami Killian High School, previously worked as a photojournalist at 16 WAPT News in Jackson, MS, and as a director of photography at Red Squared Productions.
 Perez completed his Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Jackson State University in May 2015, specializing in media production and graphic design. From 2013 to 2015, he worked as a producer and instructor for the Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s Youth Movement through Media Summer Institute where he aided student groups in the completion of original short films. Perez also worked in the student reporting labs for PBS News Hour as an advisor.

Originally from South Florida, Perez currently resides in Clinton, MS with his wife, Lauren, and dog, Pepe.

  2. This is my son and I’m so proud of him! I grew up in Kendall since 1979 and Kevin is very proud of his Kendall hometown!
