Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez speaks at the Feb. 12 celebration of FPL’s new Miami-Dade Solar Energy Center, the largest solar power installation ever to be built in South Florida. With 300,000 solar panels the center is located just west of Krome Avenue at SW 136th Street.
