The National Kidney Foundation of Florida will conduct a free health screening for people at increased risk for developing kidney disease on June 22nd at the Dave and Mary Alper JCC (Fitness Center building # 6), 11155 SW 112th Avenue Miami, FL 33176 – from 9 AM to 1 PM. The free health screening is part of the National Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP) designed to identify and educate people at risk – those with diabetes, high blood pressure or a family history of kidney disease. We are asking the local South Florida media to help us spread the word – through special medical reports and morning newscasts. We want the community to take advantage of this free health screening, especially those who do not have insurance.

KEEP screening participants will have their weight and blood pressure checked. Medical professionals will collect blood and urine samples from those who require further testing. A physician is on-site to review results with participants. More than 26 millions Americans have chronic kidney disease and most don’t even know it. Millions more are at risk.
KEEP is funded through educational grants from primary sponsor, Amgen and associate sponsors, Abbott and Siemens.
