Summer Camp Matters Now More Than Ever!
Summer camp at the Friendship Circle Miami is one of the most anticipated times of the year. This year, the programming department has designed four, distinct, fun-filled and action-packed camp programs specifically for teenagers and young adults with special needs.
Friendship Circle’s camp programs offer unique opportunities for children with special needs to enjoy their break from school. Together, with dedicated teen volunteers and therapists, children participate in exciting field trips, activities, sports and so much more. All were designed to give campers confidence, build social skills, create new friendships and give parents and caregivers much-needed respite. CDC guidelines and social distancing will be followed.
“Summer camp is my favorite program. The kids get to come, let loose and enjoy fun, friendship and excitement together with their friends,” said Heidi Rutland, Program Manager for Friendship Circle.
“Last year, due to the pandemic, camp was virtual. This year everyone is back,” Rutland added.
Summer Camp
Friendship Circle Miami will be offering two, one-week sessions of summer camp. The first week will be June 14-18 and the second week will be August 16-20. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each day’s program will include a field trip to a different and exciting location. Campers bring their own lunch.
Camp starts and ends at the Friendship Circle Campus, 8700 SW 112th St, Miami, Florida
Cost: $60 per day or $250 a week.

Friendship Circle Zumba Summer Program
This immensely popular program is a high-energy and fun-loving Zumba class. It was created to build and improve confidence, coordination, flexibility and friendship!
Summer sessions are every Monday, June 21 through August 9, 4:30 p.m.– 5:30 p.m. at the Friendship Circle Campus, 8700 SW 112th St, Miami, Florida.

Friendship Circle Summer Soccer Program is an engaging soccer program where teenagers will participate in a developmentally appropriate curriculum that encourages young athletes to improve at their own pace while having fun!
Summer sessions are every Thursday, June 24 – August 12, 4:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. at the Friendship Circle Campus, 8700 SW 112th St, Miami, Florida.

Friendship Circle Young Adult Summer Program provides social and recreational activities for young adults ages, 19+. Two Tuesdays a month, social activities are offered at the Friendship Circle Campus and once a month, on a Sunday, there will be a field trip.
