COMMUNITY EVENTS:
On Thursday, October 5th, South Florida PBS is collaborating with Belvedere Elementary School and The Latin Quarter of West Palm Beach to throw “Fiesta Hispana en la Escuela Belvedere!” This event for the families of Belvedere Elementary School students will feature diverse vendors, live music, raffles, a meet and greet with Alma from Alma’s Way, and a special performance by South Florida PBS’ Miss Penny!
The Health Channel will be sponsoring the NAMIWalks Broward County event at NOVA Southeastern University on October 7th to support their mission to educate the public and bring awareness to mental health. The Health Channel is proud to be hosting the Choosing Love not Abuse – Healthy Relationships over Domestic Violence community event in partnership with the Office of Doral Councilman, Oscar Puig-Corve on October 19th.
On October 14th South Florida PBS will be at COX Science Center’s Fall Family Fun Fest doing a fun KidVision Full STEAM Ahead activation. Saturday, October 21st we will be at NSU’s A Day for Children Event with Miss Penny and Clifford!
To close out this exciting month we’ll be at South Florida Family Life’s Howl-o-ween Event on October 28th, and on October 31st we will be at Miami Kids Magazine’s Safe Streets Halloween Event with Miss Penny!
