Gators Travel to Texas for their Last Regular Season Competition

The Florida Gators head to College Station to race in the Arturo Barrios Invite for the final tune-up before the SEC Championships

After a month off from competition, the Florida Gators are back in action at the Arturo Barrios Invite in College Station, Texas, on Saturday, October 15.

The men will compete in the 8k at 10:00 a.m. EST., and the women will begin their 6k at 10:45 a.m. EST. This is the second time the men have run an 8k, and the women have won a 6k this season. Ethan Geiger placed third with a PR of 24:08.3 in the last 8k at the SEC Preview Meet. Lucinda Rourke was the top-placing woman in the 6k at the SEC Preview Meet, finishing sixth with a time of 20:55.91 in her first collegiate race.

The Gators will face off against a loaded field of teams from across the county, with 41 teams competing in the men’s race and 40 competing in the women’s race. This will be the last meet before the SEC Championships in Oxford, Mississippi, on October 28.
