Gustavo “Gus” Castano recently was celebrated as “Member of the Month” by the Greater Kendall Business Association, highlighting his long-standing presence and dedication to Mercedes Benz of Cutler Bay.

Known affectionately as the “Mercedes Benz Guy,” Gus’ journey is an inspiring one, beginning with his family’s immigration from Argentina to the U.S. in 1969. After living in Queens, NY; Delaware, and eventually Miami Beach, Castano attended Archbishop Curley High School and Miami Beach High before going to Florida State University. He worked his way through the automotive industry, starting with a Chevy dealership on Miami Beach.

Castano’s journey in the automotive industry is a testament to his work ethic, determination, and passion for what he does. Starting from humble beginnings, He worked his way up through various positions, learning the ins and outs of the car business. His ability to connect with people and understand their needs has made him a trusted figure at Mercedes Benz of Cutler Bay, where he has spent more than 15 years. As the commercial vehicle sales manager, Castano has built strong relationships with businesses, helping them find the right vehicles to fit their needs. His leadership and dedication continue to drive his success.

At Mercedes Benz of Cutler Bay, Castano oversees the sales of everything from refrigerated trucks to limos, making the dealership unique as one of the few luxury brands in the commercial vehicle market. Once customers switch to their luxury brand commercial vehicles, there is no turning back.

The dealership operates under the Dream Motor Group, which has several locations across the Southeastern U.S., with Coach Nick Saban as a principal investor.

Castano proudly states, “We want to be an elite dealership, not just a good one and Coach Saban always expects the best with the Dream Motor Group many dealerships.”

It is no surprise that Dream Motor Group dealerships achieve Mercedes Benz’s “Best of the Best” accolades year after year.

For those interested in learning more about Castano and his work, he recently appeared on the Gloria Gab LIVE podcast.
