THIS IS AN EXCITING AND VERY IMPORTANT TIME FOR
HORSE COUNTRY!
PLEASE JOIN US AS WE PLAN TO PRESERVE ITS FUTURE.
A Horse Country charette has been approved by the County. Charrettes are formed in an effort to determine a community vision for a designated area. Once a charrette compiles its recommendations, the information is given to the appropriate local governing agencies as a source of reference to guide those agencies as they make decisions regarding that community. They take the charrette’s recommendations very seriously as it is a true and direct voice of the people most affected.
In an effort to preserve Horse Country as an agricultural area, it is IMPERATIVE that supporters of this effort attend the charrette meetings in great numbers. There is no question that developers will attend these “open to the public” meetings, and try to overwhelm those presiding with the idea that shopping malls are better than Horse Country’s many agricultural businesses. Horse Country supporters MUST attend in great enough numbers to counteract their efforts!
Listed below are the dates of the charrette’s sessions. These sessions will allow you to tell the County what your vision for Horse Country’s future is. The County will make recommendations to the County Commission based on those visions, and the Commission will decide how best to implement them.
Please mark the dates listed below on your calendar and make plans to attend as many of them as possible and help preserve Horse Country’s future with your participation. You do not need to stay the entire time. Rather, go to state your opinion, and leave when you wish to. You have a chance to “make history” by establishing Horse Country as a preserve of agricultural endeavors in the midst of Kendall!
