Jewish Community Services of South Florida announces 2022-23 board chair and officers

Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) has announced that Scott Singer is the newly installed board chair.

Scott brings to JCS over 25 years of experience in global talent and business management including work for major companies including Motorola, Bacardi, and Burger King. Scott is the president and chief outplacement officer for Insider Career Strategies Outplacement Solutions, where he helps job seekers market themselves and assists companies with their search for top talent. Singer is a Certified Resume Writer and Career Coach, member of the Forbes Coaches Council, and consults for universities throughout the United States.

Singer will be partnering with the JCS professional team to continue to provide a safety net of caring, trauma-informed services to frail members of our community. JCS continues its commitment to serving our diverse community’s most vulnerable residents in the areas of nutritional support, economic assistance, home care services, refugee resettlement, care coordination, mental health counseling, and crisis response.

His professional experience and expertise will prove to be valuable assets to our organization, as we continue to scale to meet the needs of our community. We look forward to strengthening the safety net of culturally competent services into the next 100 years of service,” said JCS president and CEO, Miriam Singer.

Other JCS Board officers include vice chair, Vanessa Ressler; secretary, Kenneth Tobin and treasurer, Robert Newman.

Dr. Helen Sachs Chaset, Mitchell Morris, and Jonathan Raiffe (immediate past chair of the board) will serve on JCS’ Executive Committee.
