Miami Dade College (MDC) once again is providing free tax preparation services to eligible individuals through the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. Services will be available through Apr. 15 at six MDC campuses across Miami-Dade County.
The program is open to individuals who earned $67,000 or less in 2025. Trained and IRS-certified volunteers will assist taxpayers with the preparation and electronic filing of their federal income tax returns at no cost.
“The 2025 tax season brings important updates that can be challenging to understand without guidance. Our school is proud to respond by once again mobilizing our accounting faculty, staff, and students through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, combining real-world learning with meaningful service that directly benefits our community,” said Pamela Fuertes, dean of the Miguel B. Fernandez Family School of Global Business, Trade & Transportation at Miami Dade College.
