Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is partnering with the Florida’s Summer BreakSpot program to keep children healthy and well-nourished while school is out.
Children up to age 18 can enjoy breakfast and lunch no cost to them during the summer.
The meals are being served at more than 190 M-DCPS schools now through Aug. 4. There are no income requirements or registration. Any child, up to age 18, may come to eat. Meals must be consumed on site as there is no longer any grab-and-go service.
Serving summer meals to the students when school is not in session is an important service that the district is able to provide. There are two ways to find a Summer BreakSpot site for breakfast and lunch. Visit Summer305, or www.SummerBreakSpot.org.
