Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) has opened its Off-Cycle Magnet Application Period to provide students another opportunity to apply for Magnet seats for the coming school year.
The Off-Cycle application period will remain open through the beginning of the 2023-24 school year or until all seats have been filled. Available seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis after schools exhaust their waitlists. A list of schools with open seats will be published at offcycle.miamimagnet.com.
Families are encouraged to contact the schools to inquire about eligibility criteria and apply to their chosen program. Applications will be accepted online or in person at the respective school site. Accepting an Off-Cycle Magnet seat will not affect your wait-list status at another school.
New for the 2023-24 school year are the STArts2 program and the STEM Magnet program — Apple Coding. STArts2, which will engage first-of-its-kind program makes M-DCPS history by extending access, curriculum alignment and individualized academic support for students with disabilities and English language learners.
Applications are being accepted for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. All students are eligible to participate. The STEM – Apple Coding program will introduce students to the same programming used by professional developers to build some of the world’s most powerful apps. Applications are being accepted for students in grades 6 through 8.
