Yusnier Viera, a mathematics professor at Miami Dade College (MDC), reclaimed the Guinness World Record for mental calendar calculations on Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Hialeah Campus.

On his first attempt, Viera broke the record when he correctly calculated in one minute, 132 calendar dates between the years of 1600 and 2100, effectively beating the record set by Jay Baldiya Jain, a 12-year-old boy in India, who correctly calculated 125 dates in 2016.

During a second attempt the same day, Viera correctly calculated, in one minute, 140 calendar dates between the years of 1600 and 2100.
