MDFR rescues two from plane down in Everglades

MDFR rescues two from plane down in EvergladesMiami-Dade Fire Rescue, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 2:44 p.m., responded to reports of a plane down with two people on board in a remote area of the Everglades, 20 miles west of Miami Executive Airport. Air Rescue crews canvassed the area and located two individuals who had removed themselves from the plane, were stranded, and required assistance. Due to the remote location and challenging terrain, Air Rescue conducted a hoist operation to safely remove them from the area. There were no reported injuries, and both individuals were transported back to Miami Executive Airport.
