MDFR units respond to vehicles on fire

Eleven Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded on Thursday, July 30, at 9:06 a.m., to a First Alarm car fire near SW 103rd Place and 51st Street. Units arrived to find multiple unoccupied vehicles fully engulfed in flames, with one of the vehicles making contact with a live powerline. FPL was notified and shut down power, allowing firefighters to safely extinguish the fire. One adult patient was transported to a local area hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
