MDFR Units Respond When Garbage Truck Hits Tree

Nine Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to a traffic incident near SW 104th Street and Hammocks Boulevard on June 7 at 1:32 p.m. Upon arrival, fire crews found a garbage truck had collided with a tree following a medical emergency. Two people became trapped inside the truck as a result of the collision. Technical Rescue crews utilized hydraulic tools to carry out the extrications. Two adult Trauma Alert (TA) patients with traumatic injuries were transported to a trauma center.
