Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) has launched the MCH Television Network (MCHTV), an in-house television network providing patients and families a customized resource for news, research and entertainment that specifically caters to MCH patients and their families.
MCHTV is a closed-circuit television network that will provide original, healthcare- related programming designed to inform and educate families of the services and support available at the hospital. MCH is the first children’s hospital in the nation to launch a television network in collaboration with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
“We are excited to offer MCHTV to our patients and families,” said Dr. Narendra Kini, president and CEO of Miami Children’s Hospital. “This service is an extension of MCH’s ongoing commitment to enhance the overall patient experience through the use of technology.”
MCHTV will provide families the latest hospital announcements including new services, technological achievements and breakthrough procedures. A series of physician spotlight videos will feature the hospital’s dedication to patient care, cutting- edge technological advancements and breakthrough research that sets MCH apart from other pediatric healthcare facilities. The network also will feature childfriendly segments on health, travel, cooking, weather, news, sports, and entertainment.
Powered by HTVkids and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, MCHTV will be premiering on Channel 36 of the hospital’s in-house network and is available on all televisions throughout the hospital.
