Miami-Dade County mayoral recall petition process moves forward

The Miami-Dade Clerk of the Court and Comptroller recently approved a county mayoral recall petition for form, and the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections, Alina Garcia, has certified the number of registered voters, allowing the sponsor to seek signatures from Miami-Dade County electors.

With these developments, the clerk has notified the petitioners that they had 120 days to proceed with circulating the petition in order to obtain the required signatures of 4 percent of registered voters, which per the certification is 1,642,010.
