Miami-Dade County receives 151 achievement awards from NACo

The National Association of Counties (NACo) has recognized 14 Miami-Dade County departments across several program categories with 151 achievement awards. These awards are issued annually to local governments for implementing innovative programs to improve service, achieve cost savings, help develop a better workforce and improve accountability.

“I’m incredibly proud that Miami-Dade County has once again been nationally recognized for government excellence,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “These 151 awards from NACo are a testament to the innovation, dedication, and hard work of our county employees. They show that our commitment to an even more efficient, effective, and accountable government is delivering real results. Through my WISE305 initiative, we will keep pushing forward, setting a new standard for public service and fiscal responsibility.”

The following departments were awarded NACo Achievement Awards:
Animal Services Department – 1 award
Community Action and Human Services Department – 1 award
Communications and Customer Experience Department – 5 awards
Cultural Affairs Department – 3 awards
Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources – 6 awards
Department of Transportation and Public Works – 2 awards
Internal Compliance Department – 2 awards
Information Technology Department – 38 awards
Juvenile Services Department – 1 award
Miami-Dade Public Library System – 74 awards
Office of Management and Budget – 1 award
Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department – 8 awards
Strategic Procurement Department – 4 awards
Water and Sewer Department – 5 awards
