The Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS) has announced the official launch of Miami-Dade Public Libraries @ Your Door Home Delivery Service, which provides residents the option of receiving library materials directly at their homes.
“Miami-Dade Public Libraries @ Your Door is another great example of Miami-Dade County’s focus on making our rich array of public services more accessible and convenient for residents through innovation and great customer service options,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.
Patrons can use their MDPLS library card to request materials be sent to their home by signing into their library account on www.mdpls.org then searching the online catalog and selecting “Please mail this item to me at no charge” for each item requested. Once a patron is ready to return their items, the materials can be dropped off at any library location or book drop — or, if they prefer, they can pay the return postage and mail them back.
“Miami-Dade Public Libraries @ Your Door Home Delivery Service is another of the many time- and money-saving options available for our residents to enjoy our libraries,” said Miami-Dade Public Library System director Ray Baker.
More information about Miami-Dade Public Libraries @ Your Door Home Delivery Service is available online at www.mdpls.org/homedelivery.
Residents who do not have a library card can sign up for one by registering for an eCard (electronic card) online at eCard.mdpls.org to have one emailed to them or by visiting any library location.
For questions and assistance, patrons may email customercare@mdpls.org or call 305-375-2665.
