Miami Sunset Senior High’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) earned the following at the FBLA District 26 Competition Awards Ceremony held at South Dade Senior High on Tuesday, Jan. 22:

First Place — Parliamentary Procedure — Amanda Gomez, Angie Buenaventura, Emily Miranda and Hurma Aziz;
First Place — Emerging Business Issues — Veronica Alvarez and Mohammad Aziz;
Second Place — Sales Presentation — Andrea Romeu;
Second Place — Social Media Campaign — Paul Salebe and Yamila Lazcano, and
Third Place — Business Communications — Jessica Harding.

Additionally, sophomore Alfonso Castillo was elected District 26 vice president and sophomore Hurma Aziz was appointed District 26 parliamentarian.

All of the above students qualified to compete at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Orlando, Mar. 22-25.
