MISO presents free, digital concert, ‘Sleepover at the Museum,’ online

(Photo credit: Matea Michelangeli)The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) and it’s music director and conductor Eduardo Marturet presents “Sleepover at the Museum” by New York-based composer, author and book writer Karen LeFrak, narrated by actress Athina Klioumi of Netflix TV series El señor de los Cielos 7 produced by NBC Telemundo Enterprises.

“Sleepover at the Museum” is a story about Mason and his two best friends wanting to celebrate his birthday in a museum, a scavenger hunt through all the exhibits that make any natural history museum so special. Mason is looking for a perfect place to sleep with his buddies and the adventure starts.

Amazing music composed by Karen LeFrak which she accompanies with this lovely book with beautiful images. This is a wonderful story for the whole family and this version Miami Symphony recorded so elegantly in the beautiful Moore Building from the world premiere with audience, is unique. It also has enchanting intros of narrator Athina, showing her reading the story with children and pets wearing sun glasses.

Eduardo Marturet and the Miami Symphony Orchestra, commissioned this masterwork to be premiered on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019, at The Moore Building Elastika in the Miami Design District, children and families can enjoy this wonderful multimedia experience through the Miami Symphony YouTube Channel at www.YouTube.com/MiamiSymphony.
