Manny Linares, CEO of North Shore Medical Center, recently recognized Oksana Baczyk, RN, as the 2015 recipient of the hospital’s annual President’s Award for her outstanding work and accomplishments throughout the year.
In her role as compliance and privacy officer since 2004, Baczyk is responsible for ensuring a successful compliance program, which she strives to obtain through personal interactions with hospital staff and continual education on federal and state laws. She has extensive experience in case and resource management, health information management, and clinical, quality and risk management.
“I am proud to recognize Oksana for her passion and longstanding commitment to our hospital,” Linares said. “She is a tireless worker who always accepts challenges and sees them as an opportunity for personal and professional growth.”
Baczyk is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association and is certified in healthcare compliance. She earned her bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, NY.
