June 6, 1932 – May 6, 2025
Ken, a longtime resident of the Kendall area in Miami, passed away in Cumming, Georgia on May 6, 2025. He was a graduate of the Wharton School of Finance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and spent many years in the banking and mortgage banking industries. Several years ago he moved from Miami to the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, Nadia Brunkow.
Ken was very active in community service and particularly with the Boys and Girls Club of Miami. He was dedicated to the municipal incorporation movement in Miami-Dade County as a member of LINC (Let’s incorporate Now Coalition) representing the potential municipal incorporation movement of Kendall.
Many may remember his incisive columns that he wrote for many years for Community Newspapers. He not only composed columns about local issues in the County but tackled subjects of national scope as well, all with a wry and amusing slant. He was an avid reader of all things political, and incorporated his observations into his many columns for the newspaper.
He is survived by his wife, Nadia Brunkow of Cumming, Georgia, daughter Gwen Tipaldi-Ratner (Richard Ratner) of Naples, FL, daughter Jennifer Yedo (Jim) of Miami, and Mark Bluh (Lisa) of Palmetto Bay. He was preceded in death by son Gregory Bluh in 1979. Grandchildren: Jenna and Nicki Tapaldi, Mitchell and Ethan Bluh, Stephanie Yedo, Madeline Yedo and Charlotte Yedo.
A private service was held Memorial Day weekend in Cumming, Georgia.
