A fun day for kids combined with on-site educational resources for crime prevention has been scheduled by Miami Dade Police at Kendall Station, 7707 SW 117 Ave., Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Live demonstrations will be provided by key units, including the K-9 corps, Special Response teams and a Miami Dade-County fire truck and fire engine.
Details will also be provided about Citizens Crime Watch of Miami-Dade, 311 telephone service, domestic violence, identity fraud, and other county resources,
said Lt. Carmen Castro of the District’s Neighborhood Resource Unit.
Other services during the program will include the Miami-Dade Adopt-a-Pet from the county Mobile Pet Adoption and renewing driver’s licenses, registrations or disabled parking permits from the Florida “Licensing on Wheels” vehicle.
