Orange Bowl launches Creative Art Contest for K-12 students
Obie is the Orange Bowl’s official mascot.

The Orange Bowl has launched its annual Creative Art Contest. The initiative grants all K-12 students in Miami-Dade and Broward counties the opportunity to win a variety of prizes by submitting artwork, including tickets to the Capital One Orange Bowl.

The theme this year is “Courage Creates Champions.” Students are encouraged to submit artwork that includes visual representations of South Florida, college football, the contest theme, and Obie (Orange Bowl’s official mascot).

Orange Bowl staff, along with Obie, will make several visits to K-12 schools all around the South Florida area. At each school visit, students have the chance to interact with the Orange Bowl team, play games, and learn more about the contest.

New this year: every student that submits artwork will receive one free ticket to the AutoNation Orange Bowl Basketball Classic, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, along with the ability to purchase discounted tickets for family and friends.

The Creative Art Contest Grand Prize Winner will receive two complimentary tickets to the 90th Capital One Orange Bowl, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 30, at Hard Rock Stadium, and will be recognized at the game in addition to a $500 gift card and a custom Orange Bowl bicycle.

Teachers can get in on the fun too. The teacher that submits the most student entries will receive an Orange Bowl takeover celebration at their school.

Students of all ages are encouraged to participate and showcase their artistic and creative talents. This program is part of Orange Bowl Cares initiative and made possible by Orange Bowl sponsors including Moss, Bank of America and Florida Blue.
