CareerSource South Florida proudly announced a new scholarship initiative aimed at assisting deserving students to pursue higher education in Florida. The selection of students for this opportunity will be overseen by the Orange Blossom committee, who will review the applications and select the most deserving candidates.
“We are excited to have participated in such an important HBCU game and contribute scholarship funds that will directly impact and support the education of future Florida students,” said Rick Beasley, Executive Director of CareerSource South Florida. “This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering a thriving community through education and empowering the workforce.”
The scholarship grant was officially presented by Executive Director, Rick Beasley during the pregame festivities this past Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens for the match between Jackson State University (JSU) versus Florida A&M University (FAMU).
“The mission of the Orange Blossom Classic is to bring awareness to HBCU’s and support the attainment of post-secondary education for our South Florida students,” said Kendra Bulluck-Major, Executive Director of the Orange Blossom Classic. Through our partnership with CareerSource of South Florida, we are able to assist more high school students in these endeavors. We are eternally grateful for CareerSource helping us to further the mission.”
