The Residences of United HomeCare, West Kendall’s contemporary and newest assisted living facility for seniors, is celebrating its first year anniversary.
Jan. 20 marked the first year since the state-of-the-art AHCA licensed facility opened its doors to the community offering quality and affordable assisted living options with compassionate high quality care. Its signature address at 9355 SW 158 St. is located across from West Kendall Baptist Hospital.
The LEED-certified, green facility has striking modern architecture, bright open spaces, all with a touch of Miami Beach décor. Seniors enjoy gourmet meals, contemporary art work, modern furniture and open recreation spaces that include a gym, library and various lounges for recreational and social activities. The Residences brings to the area much needed assisted living housing for seniors. Featuring 122 spacious studios and one bedroom units, it offers a full spectrum of onsite care services, including 24/7 access to medical and nursing staff and a team of trained, licensed and certified professionals as well as upscale features.
United HomeCare (UHC), the non-profit organization that created The Residences, aimed to transform the landscape of assisted living in Miami, bringing to The Residences more than 43 years of experience as a leader in home and community-based care. United HomeCare is a designated lead agency for the Alliance for Aging, and the first home care organization in Florida to be designated as a teaching agency for home and community-based care by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
“For the first time in United HomeCare’s remarkable history, we have realized our vision to expand to the assisted living arena, and we are as committed to offering the same extraordinary care and premier quality-of-life solutions at The Residences,” said Carlos L Martinez, president and CEO of United HomeCare and The Residences of United HomeCare.
The Residences has senior residents from all walks of life living in beautiful surroundings with a diverse, multicultural, and contemporary atmosphere that exudes Miami’s best. Residents and their families can count on an exceptional care model that is more affordable with an all-inclusive price.
“We are proud to celebrate our first anniversary,” said Maria Torre, The Residences administrator. “Our residents are enjoying life with dignity, independence and respect in a family-like environment that makes them feel at home, and allows them to receive the assistance they need to remain independent as long as possible.”
